THE PET STORE

There has been a pet shop in this location for just over 50 years and we (Matt and Kay) took over the business in December 2016.

We sell pet food and accessories and we cater for all types of pet. Yes, we are a tourist town but we love our locals. We get to hear lots of tales about peoples pets and we have gained a lot of knowledge from this, which we can share with other customers.

We get to hear what products really work and which ones don’t so we can stock only the best products, and offer advice based on our customer’s feedback.

It is difficult sourcing products that don’t appear in the big stores, but we do that really well so many of our products are quite unique.

Living, working and shopping in a small town like Pickering is great as we get good advice and customer service from the many other independent businesses.
